CABIN JOURNAL

DAY 1
Alright guys, with the champagne bottle in hand, I am dubbing my new ship the S.S. Papaspanos...it is a wooden frigate I built with my own skill and sweat...I am embarking on a voyage from NEW YORK CITY TO THESSALONIKI, Greece.

DAY 2
I am sailing east on the Atlantic Ocean...Weather=Verrrry Nice.
Everything is according to plan.

Day 3
The wooden beams are starting to rot, I forgot to apply tar...this might be a problem...

Day 4----Day 20
Every single day a wooden beam falls off my ship and I am replacing them with new wood...(Don't ask where i am getting the fresh timber)

Day 60
I arrived at the port of Thessaloniki. As I sit at a harbor cafe and observe my ship moored nearby, I notice...none of my original wooden planks made the journey. EVERY single piece of wood that I originally used to build the ship fell off and the ship I arrived in is composed of NEW WOOD. And I sat and wondered....

Can I still call this ship S.S. PAPASPANOS. It is made from all different pieces of wood. This is not the same Ship that left NYC harbor...

Hmmm....I continued thinking until something caught my attention in the horizon.
A verrrry familiar sillouette approached my parked ship...
It looked exactly like my ship! It was a carbon copy, look alike S.S. PAPASPANOS

It so happened, a very crafty pirate followed my ship along the way. I remember Pamela telling me about a ship always behind us, but i disregarded her comments...She always plays the dumb blonde, would you trust her in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean?
(DISCLAIMER: just kidding to all blonde readers, it adds to the story lol)

So this guy, let's call him Pirate Red Beard, (because that was his name haha)...he picked up all the timbers that fell from my ship, and assembled them into a ship exactly like my own. He rebuilt the wooden frigate.

So, with two ships parked in THESSALONIKI harbor that look exactly alike, except the pirate remake has the original wood and my ship I sailed in has replaced wood...which one is the S.S. PAPASPANOS???


Purpose of the STORY:
We are ever changing creatures...We are not the person we were at 5 years old or even 5 minutes ago...We change...Our bodies get bigger or firmer or flabbier...Our personalities alter with our experiences and will power...Our spirits grow to MAGNANIMOUS status or we stray away from the good and become wretched souls that are rotten and miserable...Is it safe to say we are neither the same person of our past nor a different person of our prior state??

Maybe it's just by chance we happen to look and to act similar to the identities we used to be? Wait a second, we are creatures of habit and our tendency is to stay the way we are As of Now.
Let's dump the question of who we are. Our names are proof enough that we are the same person that exited OUR mother's womb on OUR birthdays. We can know for a fact, like a rock slams our face, it is painfully certain--that ESSENCE follows EXISTENCE...we were born, THEN we became. We had the potential of becoming, our mom and dad were thinking about having us--then one night, WE BECAME...After we were born, our parents helped us become, then we had the control over our BECOMING...Our essence was controlled by our minds...NOW WE HAVE BECOME something so far...And the conversation ends in speculation...What do u WISH to BECOME??
We still have potential......we can still become...it's not too late, it never is...


Some people say, "Go to college find yourself..." that is the first step...
Then, you take it to the next level--see what you are who are...and then
..............CREATE YOURSELF
